Coronavirus cases continue to rise in Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Governor Andy Beshear announced 159 new cases to report today, bringing the total number of confirmed statewide cases to 5,934.

In addition, 8 more people have died in the last 24 hours, as a total of 283 Kentuckians have now passed away due to Covid-19.

The good news is a total of 2,125 people have recovered from the virus, a positive number that continues to increase each day.

Beshear also reports that 78,603 tests have been administered throughout the Commonwealth, which marks an increase of over 17,000 cases from yesterday. The governor attributes this stark increase to the state’s continuously growing testing capacity.
