Congressmen meet with Barren County community to discuss drug problems
GLASGOW, Ky. – At the Barren County Board of Education office, State Representatives Steve Riley and Brett Guthrie met with organizations in the Barren County area to talk about drug related issues in the community.
The Agency for Substance Abuse Policy or ASAP program sits at the center of these discussions that Congressman Guthrie wants to have in his district to figure out what organizations who deal with drug addiction are saying and the problems they are encountering with current systems in place.
Among the participants in this Q&A style forum were school officials, rehabilitations facility representatives and Glasgow police who said that they have seen over the summer more cases and child neglect and abandonment.
