Community invited to tour newly renovated Family Enrichment Center on Sept. 23

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — The community is invited to tour the newly renovated Family Enrichment Center space in Bowling Green next week.
According to a release by the Family Enrichment Center, the Women’s Fund of South Central Kentucky is hosting its Final Four Announcement from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 23.
During this time, the public is invited to attend and see the redone space, completed with support from the Women’s Fund.
In 2025, the release says the Women’s Fund of South Central Kentucky awarded a $100,000 Impact Grant to the nonprofit to increase space for services to women and children in south-central Kentucky. The nonprofit states it works to prevent child abuse and empower families.
Since 2022, the Family Enrichment Center says it has seen a 124% increase in the number of children served.
Thanks to the building project, the nonprofit says it will be able to serve an additional 1,000 individuals by August 2027.
Additionally, the nonprofit says this will help eliminate a waiting list for some services based on formerly unavailable space. The project allows for office and meeting space for growing staff to provide a Parents as Teachers Little Learners program, a home visitation program in the area, according to the release.
“Prevention starts with early education and support,” said Assistant Director Samantha Berry. “Our home visiting staff build trusting relationships with families, providing the tools and knowledge they need to raise healthy, thriving children during one of the most crucial developmental periods of their child’s life.”
