Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort donates supplies to Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Early this morning, the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort in Nashville sent an 18-wheeler to Bowling Green filled with supplies, clothing, water, and many other important items.

All items donated were dropped off at the Lehman Avenue Church of Christ where people can bring their vehicles and pick-up boxes of food and clothing.

Deacon Derek Johnson says the support throughout the nation has been unbelievable over the last few days.

“It’s been a great opportunity to work with folks in not only Alabama, Tennessee,” Johnson said. “We got folks from Ohio so it’s just a great joint effort by the Lord’s church and, and that’s what we do.”

If you cannot drive out to the church, there will be trucks sent out to people who need supplies. The church is still accepting all donations except used clothing. Also available to those in need are appliances, like washers and dryers.
