Cave City woman accused of passing fake $100 bill

A Warren County grand jury indicted a Cave City woman on an allegation that she passed a phony $100 bill.

Lisa Renae Martin, 35, was indicted Wednesday on one count of first-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument.

She is accused of passing a fake bill April 23 at a local fast food restaurant, according to her initial arrest citation in April. Police said Martin told them she knew the bill was a fake but she was having money issues. The bill had the words “for motion picture use only” on it.

She was initially arrested April 23 and was released later that day on a $2,500 bond.

Her court date on the indictment is 9 a.m. July 30.
