Cars and Coffee drives tourists into Cave City.
CAVE CITY, Ky.- This Saturday, the second Cars and Coffee event will be going on in downtown Cave City.
Old classic cars of every kind will be lined up for people to see downtown from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Cars and coffee events are done all over the world and the small business group called Build Cave City wanted to bring it to their town. Leticia Cline, event organizer, said everyone is welcome to come and walk around, get some coffee and look at cars. They will also have a live DJ and live music.
The farmer’s market will be open as well with over 20 different vendors from yummy food to handmade designs. Cline said they are looking forward to the event.
“It’s great because it brings in traffic from all over. We have a range from Nashville to Louisville of people that come into this event. Also, the farmer’s market side of it allows small businesses to get their name out there, get their product out there, have a place to sell their product, because a lot of these people don’t have brick and mortar stores so this is really where they make their income,” said Cline.
The first cars and coffee event they had last month had over 200 cars and 600 people. Cline said they expect the event to be even bigger this Saturday.
