Bridge KY and Glasgow Boys & Girls Club help for the holidays
GLASGOW, Ky. – Local organizations Bridge KY and the Glasgow Boys & Girls Club teamed up to help Barren County families.
As the holidays approach, two organizations that do their best to benefit the community delivered Thanksgiving meal kits to families in need this week.
Boys & Girls Club Director Wade Copas told News 40 in an interview that with the help of some “private donations from a couple of people in the community”, they were able to work with their local Houchens grocery store to put together meals for families who might have trouble cooking dinner for Thanksgiving this year.
Families were prompted to send in their address and contact info via a Facebook post from the Bridge KY Facebook page.
Copas said meals will also be delivered today from 3 to 6 p.m.
