BREAKING: Congressman Brett Guthrie speaks about violence at the Capitol

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Congressman Brett Guthrie denounced the violence Wednesday in Washington D.C.

Guthrie is in a safe location and was just minutes from entering the Capitol building when the Senate abruptly adjourned, and he was ordered to shelter in place.

Guthrie said he is concerned for his constituents inside the Capitol building.

Guthrie fully supports the first amendment and the right to protest but is appalled by the violence that has ensued during these protests.

WNKY has asked for comment from Senator Rand Paul’s office as well as Senator Mitch McConnell’s office and have not yet heard back.
