BRACAC hosts Great Teddy Bear Run a little differently this year

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Barren River Area Child Advocacy Center is holding one of their yearly fundraisers a little differently for the second year in a row because of COVID.

The annual Great Teddy Bear Run is the typical yearly fundraiser for BRACAC, but this year, it’s being called the Great Teddy Bear Drop and Ride.

The event is two days long, Friday April 23 and Saturday the 24.

Riders will go to one of the start locations and will drop off a teddy bear and begin their ride.

They encourage everyone to place a blue ribbon on their bikes in support of national child abuse awareness month.

The non-profit is running really low on teddy bears, so this event helps provide those bears that are given to children who come to the center after a traumatizing event.

The registration fee is $20 and includes a pin and coupons to local businesses.

There will also be food trucks at the starting locations.
