Bowling Green man arrested following K-9 alert to drugs
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man on several charges after a K-9 alerted authorities to drugs.
On Friday around 1:07 a.m., authorities conducted a traffic stop where a K-9 alerted to the odor of a narcotic coming from the vehicle during a free air sniff around the vehicle, according to WCSO.
Authorities stated a search of the vehicle resulted in the recovery of a plastic bag with 36 Oxycodone pills, as well as a total of one pound of marijuana in bags.
The driver, Timothy Wayne Darst, 21, of Bowling Green was placed under arrest and charged with rear license plate not illuminated, no registration plate, operating on a suspended license, failure of a non-owner to maintain insurance, trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree, (drug unspecified), trafficking in marijuana (eight ounces to five pounds), first offense, and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.
Darst was lodged in the Warren County Detention Center.
