Bowling Green firefighters respond to apartment fire on Patrick Way

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fire Department is responding to a structure fire at 1708 Patrick Way on Thursday morning.
The approximate response time was 8:40 am.
The first arriving crews found smoke from the back of an apartment complex, according to BGFD.
Units began fire attack and search efforts.
BGFD confirms that primary searches were marked clear. There are no injuries reported at this time.
Battalion Chief Joe Harbin had this to say.
“We were dispatched for a structure fire in this apartment behind us here. Initial response received six units, we arrived on scene, had heavy fire in two apartments. We did a fire attack and searched all of the neighboring apartments, made sure they were evacuated. The fire did extend into the building behind. We were able to also extinguish that fire and search those buildings, make sure everybody was out.”
The scene has been marked clear and the cause of the fire is under investigation. We will bring you more information as it becomes available.
