Bowling Green city intersection to receive upgrades Monday

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green intersection will receive upgrades beginning on Monday.

According to a release by the City of Bowling Green, the traffic signal located at the intersection 12th Avenue and Chestnut Street will receive upgrades on Monday, June 3 starting at 8 am. The project is expected to take several days to complete.

Upgrades will include the installation of radar vehicle detection technology. Officials say this will improve operational efficiency and safety.

The project is expected to convert the intersection into a four-way stop at points during installation. Motorists can expect detours to be in place.

Officials urge motorists to drive with caution and seek alternate routes.
