Bowling Green Ballpark Hosts 16U Tournament
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – There are few things more synonymous with the 4th of July holiday than the sport of baseball, and while you won’t be able to watch any professional games played this year, you can still check out America’s pastime in all its glory right here in South Central Kentucky.
That’s all thanks to the Bowling Green Hot Rods, who are putting on a 16U tournament that features teams from Kentucky, but also from other states, like Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
The Games Began Earlier This Week, but Today is the First Day That Fans Have Been Able to Attend. The Tournament Will Run Through Sunday, With All-day Passes Being Sold for Five Dollars.
To those thinking about making a trip to out to the ball park this weekend, Hot Rods General Manager and COO Eric Leach says proper safety protocols will be in place throughout the stadium.
Social distanced seating, hand sanitizing stations, masks in common areas and temperature checks upon arrival will all be in effect this weekend.
