Bourbon and Brewfest was a success after a year off due to COVID

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. -Bourbon, beers, snacks and more… all a fun part of a popular annual event in Bowling Green.

The 7th annual Bourbon and Brewfest was held at the Hot Rods stadium Saturday with around 1500 tickets sold for the event.

VIP tickets completely sold out!

Bourbon and Brewfest is the largest festival of its kind in south central Kentucky and featured dozens of local distilleries.

When attending, you are given a punch card with 20 punches to sample alcohols.

Eric Leach, the Hot Rods general manager, said the event is meant for fun and spending time with others.

“It allows folks to have a fun and safe environment and to taste different beers and bourbon that they might never had an opportunity to taste. Oftentimes you’re going to the store and you’re like, “I’m not sure I want to pay $40 for that bottle,” here you can try all different things and maybe find a new favorite,” said Leach.

Last year, due to COVID, the event was cancelled, but this year the party was back on.
