BGMU issues boil water advisory for portion of Highland Way

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Municipal Utilities is issuing a boil water advisory Friday for customers on Highland Way between Nashville Road and Smallhouse Road.

According to BGMU, the advisory is active for those impacted until Saturday afternoon unless otherwise notified.

BGMU states each affected customer should have received a door hanger at their front door regarding the advisory.

According to the company, those affected should boil all water for consumption until further notice and should flush household pipes and faucets, automatic ice makers and water fountains.

BGMU says it will share an update Saturday, Sept. 5 when the advisory is lifted. For additional questions, customers can call 270-782-1200 or 270-782-4302 after hours.
