BG Rock Band closes camp with final performance

This past Friday, a group of teens and tweens split into several bands to perform some songs at 6-4-3 in downtown Bowling Green.

Performers were part of the BG Rock Band Summer Camp, where they learned to play rock music from several counselors last week.

We spoke with one of the camps instructors, Kristy Helit, about the final performance.

“Our campers came in, ready to learn, ready to get into the groove of being in a band,” said Helit. “By the end of [the week], our campers were working as a team and came together as great bands.”

The campers played several covers, including modern rock hits like, “Wonderwall.”
