Beshear Reports 105 New Cases, 4 New Deaths from Covid-19 in Kentucky

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Governor Andy Beshear announced 105 new coronavirus cases to report on Monday, bringing the statewide total to 6,677.

With Governor Beshear not holding a press conference on Sunday due to the Mother’s Day holiday, this evening’s totals represented an increase in cases reported since his last press conference on Saturday, May 9th.

Beshear also reported 4 new deaths in the Commonwealth, which brings the total number of Kentuckians who have died from the virus to 311.

Over 17,000 new tests have been administered, bringing the total statewide number of tests given to 104,001.

The good news is that 2,335 Kentuckians have recovered from the novel coronavirus, a number that continues to increase every day.

Locally, the Barren River District Health Department reported an increase 0f 124 positive confirmed coronavirus cases since their latest update on Friday, May 8th.

Warren County saw an increase of 70 cases over the weekend, bringing their total number of confirmed positive cases to 577.

Butler County had 37 new cases, Logan County increased by 10 cases, Hart County saw three new positive cases, Edmondon County had two new coronavirus cases and Barren and Metcalfe County both saw their total number of cases increase by one.

Simpson County did not see an additional confirmed coronavirus case as they remain at 30 total positive cases.
