Beshear Announces 191 New Cases, 10 New Deaths from Covid-19

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Governor Andy Beshear reported 191 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, bringing the state of Kentucky’s total to 6,853 confirmed positive cases.

In addition, Beshear announced 10 new coronavirus-related deaths, as 321 Kentuckians have now passed away due to Covid-19.

The Governor did have some positive news to report, though, as a total of 110,609 tests have been administered throughout the Commonwealth and 2,546 people have recovered from the coronavirus statewide.

Locally in the WNKY viewing area, the majority of counties saw confirmed case increases over the last 24 hours.

Butler County reported the largest increase with 21 additional confirmed cases. Warren County reported a double digit increase as well with 19 new, positive cases, bringing their county wide total to 596 positive coronavirus cases.

Logan, Simpson, Barren and Hart counties also reported an increase in positive coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours.

The good news is that 285 Kentuckians have recovered from the virus in our local viewing area.
