Barren County Schools start strong with an opening ceremony

GLASGOW Ky.- While schools in Bowling Green started last week, the Barren County Schools in Glasgow are still preparing for their first day of classes.

The staff from every single Barren County School crowded the Barren County High School gym for the opening ceremony to discuss goals and expectations for this upcoming year.

From teachers, to coaches, to the new Google certified educators, the Barren County staff came together to pump themselves up for the students’ arrival.

Barren County Schools Superintendent Bo Matthews said year after year, he looks forward to the same thing, and that’s getting the Barren County students on the right path to success.

“We truly, sincerely want every child to find their niche and we want to do a good job of exploring and helping them find their talents and putting their feet on a path that’s going to have them prepared for life,” Matthews said.

School begins in Barren County Wednesday.
