Authorities say woman carjacked in Glasgow parking lot

GLASGOW, Ky.- Deputies in Barren County said a woman was assaulted and carjacked Thursday morning.

The crime took place around 9:30 a.m. in the parking lot of the Dollar General store on Edmonton Road in Glasgow.

Authorities said an adult male and a juvenile female demanded a woman give up her car keys. The male is then accused of striking the vehicle’s owner in the face.

The pair took off in the vehicle and crashed it in Metcalfe County.

The male and female were taken to the hospital and later taken into custody by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office.

The male has been identified as Jody Tucker, 18. He’s charged with first-degree robbery and fourth-degree assault.
Authorities have not said what charges the juvenile female is facing.
