‘Several’ dead after small plane crash near Nashville area

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Several people have died after a single-engine airplane crashed Monday evening in Tennessee. Metropolitan Nashville police say the plane crashed off of the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 and just past the Charlotte Pike exit. Several people on board the airplane have died, police say. Police are still learning where the plane originated from.
