Kentucky officials say highway fatalities increased last year

FRANKFORT, Ky. – According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, highway fatalities in Kentucky increased over the last year. The release states that highway fatalities increased up to 813 deaths in 2023 compared to 744 that occurred in 2022 and the highest it has been since 2016.
