Allen County deputies arrest woman after traffic stop

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky. – A woman is facing charges after a traffic stop in Scottsville.
The Allen County Sheriff’s Office says around 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Pleasant Ridge Church Road.
Deputies say they identified the driver as 52-year-old Taleia Pilgrim.
According to authorities, an Allen County detective deployed his K-9 unit, which led to a vehicle search and the discovery of a plastic bag containing methamphetamine.
Deputies say further investigation found Pilgrim was operating the vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance.
Pilgrim was taken into custody and transported to the Allen County Detention Center. She faces charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, first offense, and first-degree possession of a controlled substance, second offense (methamphetamine).
