Glasgow Police help Mayfield recover after tornado

GLASGOW, Ky. – A group of officers in Glasgow are doing all they can to help out after the tornado.

The Glasgow Police Department said when they heard Mayfield needed their assistance, it was a no brainer to send officers out to Western Kentucky.

Nine Glasgow Police officers are now helping out in the town completely devastated by the tornado throughout January.

Agencies from across the state are coming to the town to help out by patrolling, or pitching in whenever need be.

Glasgow Police Chief Jennifer Arbogast said, “Every agency is short with manpower, so you’ve just got to help out where you can help out, and I know the same thing would happen if the shoe was on the other foot. They would be here helping us.”

Chief Arbogast said they will send more officers to help if possible.
