Hundreds of kids participate in Scotty’s Pound the Pavement

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The 9th annual Scotty’s Pound the Pavement went on Saturday morning at Kerieake’s Park. The morning was filled with lots of fun, a live DJ, and mascots from the community.

The event is an annual kids run that kicks off the new school year. Hundreds of kids up to age 14 participated in the three races-a 1/2K, 2K, and 3K.

“I feel excited but tired. I told mom not to do the 3K race, I knew it was gonna be too hard for me,” said 9-year-old Quade Osborne, the fourth place winner of the 2K run.

The event benefits Kids on the Block.
