LOS ANGELES (AP) — Golfer Max Homa is best known for his wit on social media and the roasting he offers to players of all levels who ask him to critique their swings. Behind that humor is a guy who takes his golf seriously. Homa saw the hard work pay off in storybook fashion at the Genesis Invitational, even if the script had a twist. He missed a 3-foot birdie putt on the 18th hole for the win and beat Tony Finau with a par on the second extra hole. Homa grew up 30 miles away and has watched this event his entire life.
