New apartments planned for downtown Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The City-County Planning Commission of Warren County has approved rezoning for a 26-unit apartment complex in downtown Bowling Green.
New Millennium Real Estate, the developers of the Lenox Place and The Vue apartments are planning on developing an L-shaped building at the intersection of Chestnut Street and Seventh Avenue.
There are currently a couple of older houses and one small building that will be demolished to make the apartments. The rezoning will transition the use of the area from general business to multifamily residential.
Lenox Place and The Vue are currently full, with more people wanting to move in. Ben Peterson with the Planning Commission says the downtown area is booming.
“Downtown is doing really well as far as demand. People wanting to live downtown but just growth in Bowling Green in general has fueled the demand,” said Peterson.
The Bowling Green City Commission will have to approve the project before it begins.
