Bowling Green Fire Department announced a new truck, the department’s tallest yet

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fire Department is showing off its brand new apparatus with its tallest ladder yet.

The Bowling Green Fire Department announced its newest truck arrived Tuesday.

Truck 4 has a ladder reach of 107 feet. That is seven feet taller than any other one of the department’s trucks.

It will be kept at Station 4 on Morgantown Road.

It will serve the entire city but it’s intentionally being kept near Western Kentucky University to provide better reach for the city’s tallest buildings.

The firefighters still have to complete training on the apparatus but the fire truck will be in service in just a few days.
