Senator Mitch McConnell talks COVID-19 funding in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – U.S. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell hosting a question and answer with the media in Bowling Green today at the Warren County Courthouse
During the press conference, Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon, Western Kentucky University President Timothy Caboni, and Barren River District Health Department Director Matt Hunt discussed the impact of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.
Senator McConnell introduced and led to passage the CARES Act, the biggest rescue package in U.S. history.
It brought around $11 billion to Kentucky including over 45,000 Paycheck Protection Program loans to businesses in the state.
Kentucky healthcare providers also receiving more than $1 billion from the coronavirus response legislation.
