Warren County Fiscal Court Discuss Several Plans

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Friday morning in the Warren County Fiscal Court, county officials discussed different plans for the county.

Among the topics, a new round-a-bout was approved for the intersection of Smallhouse Road and Elrod Road.

Officials say the area is known for having quite a few collisions.

Warren County Judge-Executive Mike Buchanon says the round-a-bout will help improve traffic flow in the growing residential area.

Another item on the agenda, COVID-19 support funding for the United Way of Southern Kentucky.

The court approved 50,000-dollars for the United Way’s for the 2-1-1 additional COVID-19 response and communications and the pre-registration for the inner city COVID-19 testing.

Another important topic discussed in fiscal court Friday, locally, COVID-19 testing has resulted in some false positives.

Matt Hunt, the director of the Barren River Area Health Department says these false positives are out of his control.

Hunt also mentioned, it is still essential to put safety and good health practices into effect to continue to flatten the curve of COVID-19.
