COVID-19 testing site set up on Monday, testing dates extended

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Officials in Warren County were busy Monday preparing a COVID-19 testing site that will open Tuesday morning.

Officials say the testing site at South Warren High School will be manned by the National Guard, Kentucky State Police and local law enforcement.

The entrance for the testing site is the middle school entrance which patients will follow around counterclockwise to the athletic complex.

Testing begins at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

All spots for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday have been filled, but the Governor announced over the weekend that the site will host more testing Friday and into next week.

Barren River Area Health Department Director Matt Hunt said precautions have been put in place to make the testing as safe and easy as possible.

Online registration for testing on Friday and the days next week will begin Wednesday.
