Bowling Green economy continues to grow
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Confetti went flying as WEHR Constructors celebrated the opening of their new Bowling Green facility on Thursday.
The company has been serving Kentucky since 1945 and now has three locations throughout the state.
“I am thrilled beyond words that this has become a reality and that our team has done such a world-class job with the facility. It will be able to serve the community and the region so much more easily than we had been,” WEHR Constructors president Skip Berry said.
Berry is not the only one celebrating, this ribbon cutting set a new record for the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce.
It’s the 100th ribbon cutting the chamber has held this year.
“This has been a big year for us. It’s a big year for our chamber partners, and we are just really excited to celebrate that here with this company who is a new partner this year. Just really excited to share this moment with them and with the community,” said Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce’s vice president of Partnership Services Maureen Carpenter.
That makes 2018 a record setting year for the chamber and the Bowling Green community.
“I think it shows that we have a strong economy. We still have businesses that are opening. We have a great entrepreneurial spirit here in Bowling Green with people that take risks and open businesses and a community that supports it by shopping local and supporting other chamber partners and other businesses in the community,” added Carpenter
Out of all the ribbon cuttings, Berry is glad that his company is the 100th.
“How can God make these kinds of things happen? It’s just not coincidental, so it couldn’t be scripted any better,” Berry said.
