World War II vets take honorary flight to Washington, DC

Honor Flight Bluegrass flew out of Louisville this morning with 61 WWII veterans en route to Washington, DC.

The flight is intended to honor these men and women and the service they provided for our country.

During the first ever two-day trip with the WWII vets, the group will visit Arlington Cemetery and other memorial sites.

The veterans will return home Wednesday evening at 8pm to a big homecoming at the Louisville International Airport.
