Elkton gas station temporarily evacuates due to gas leak

ELKTON, Ky. (WEKT) – An Elkton gas station temporarily evacuated Tuesday during a reported gas leak.

According to a report by WEKT, Chief James Calvary with the Elkton Fire Department says they were called to the scene of a natural gas leak at a FiveStar Gas Station.

As a result, WEKT reports the gas station was evacuated as gas company crews worked on site to halt the leak.

Calvary says Todd County EMS checked two employees, however, those individuals were not taken to the hospital, the report states.

Following this, WEKT says all individuals were able to enter the building.
