Bowling Green man charged with sexual abuse of minor

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is charged with sexual abuse offenses involving a minor.

According to a uniform citation, 25-year-old Paul Washburn III of Bowling Green was arrested on Tuesday as part of a sexual abuse investigation.

Police say the arrest stems from allegations of Washburn having sexual contact with a minor victim.

Authorities say the victim reported the incidents occurred multiple times, with the most recent case in July of 2026.

As a result of these reports and an interview with Washburn, police say he was arrested on charges of first-degree sexual abuse, victim under 12 years of age, and first-degree unlawful transaction with a minor, illegal sex act under 16 years of age.
