Metcalfe County emergency personnel respond to two-vehicle collision with reported injuries

METCALFE COUNTY, Ky. – A two-vehicle collision closed a Metcalfe County roadway Friday evening.

According to the North Metcalfe Volunteer Department (NMVFD), fire units, along with the Edmonton/Metcalfe Volunteer Fire Department, Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office, and Barren-Metcalfe EMS, responded to a motor vehicle accident with injuries in the area of Sulphur Well-Knob Lick Road (Highway 70) and McCandless Coomer Road just after 2 pm.

NMVFD says the collision involved two vehicles. One vehicle and a trailer were overturned, closing the roadway for several hours.

Firefighters extracted patients from the vehicles and assisted EMS with care.

NMVFD says the roadway has reopened.
