SKYPAC celebrates America’s 250th birthday with patriotic concert

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – SKYPAC celebrated America’s 250th birthday Thursday evening with a patriotic concert featuring Orchestra Kentucky and the Orchestra Kentucky Chorale.

The performance brought community members together to honor the nation’s history through music, featuring well-known patriotic selections including America the Beautiful, God Bless America and The Stars and Stripes Forever.

In addition to the musical performances, the concert paid tribute to members of the U.S. Armed Forces and military veterans through special recognitions and reflections on their service and sacrifice.

Organizers say the annual celebration is an opportunity for the community to come together to recognize the nation’s heritage while honoring the men and women who have served in the military.

The concert was part of Bowling Green’s local observance of America’s 250th anniversary.
