TORO hosts watch party for USA-Bosnia and Herzegovina World Cup match

BOWLING GREEN Ky. – Soccer fans gathered at TORO in Bowling Green on Wednesday evening for a watch party as the United States faced Bosnia and Herzegovina in the World Cup.

The restaurant welcomed regular customers and supporters of both teams for an evening of food, fellowship and international soccer.

Throughout the match, fans cheered on their teams and shared in the excitement as the game unfolded.

Christina Thomas, lead manager at TORO, said the event was about more than watching soccer. She said it provided an opportunity for people from different backgrounds to come together and connect through a shared love of the sport.

“I think it’s really great because it brings together a group of people who might not typically be together,” Thomas said. “It’s a wonderful opportunity to build community.”

Organizers say they hope to continue hosting similar events that give sports fans a place to gather and enjoy major matches together.
