KYTC District 3 issues Sunday update on latest closures, re-openings

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (June 28, 2026) – Following a weather system that brought heavy rain and severe weather to the District 3 area overnight Friday through Sunday, multiple roads remain impassable due to flooding.

The list below is the current list of known flooded state roads at the time of the release (Sunday, June 28 @ 8 pm). Conditions change rapidly and roads may become impassable before an updated list can be sent. This list does not contain city or county-maintained roads that may be impassable.

Butler County

  • Reeds Ferry – Closed
  • Rochester Ferry – Closed
  • KY 2269 – REOPENED
  • KY 2713 – REOPENED

Edmonson County

  • KY 187 Mile Point 3.0- The bridge over Sunfish Creek has been damaged and is closed until an assessment can be conducted and repairs can be made.
  • KY 238 – Closed at mile point 9.6
  • KY 655 – Closed at mile point 2 to 3

Logan County

  • KY 3201 – REOPENED

Metcalfe County

  • U.S. 68 – REOPENED
  • KY 640 –Closed at mile point 14.5
  • KY 543 – Closed at mile point 1.0
  • KY 1048 – Closed at mile point 0.3

Monroe County

KY 214 Ferry – The KY 214 ferry at Turkey Neck Bend is currently closed due to debris in the water.
