Clarksville man reports $28K fraudulently withdrawn from bank, police seeking suspect

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The Clarksville Police Department says it is investigating an identity theft and fraud case that occurred earlier this month.
According to a social media post by the police department, on June 6, a victim reported approximately $28,000 was withdrawn from his bank account through three separate fraudulent transactions.
Authorities say surveillance video was obtained showing a male suspect wearing a ball cap, a light blue long-sleeve shirt and khaki pants while making one of the withdrawals.
According to police, the suspect used fraudulent identification to access the victim’s account to withdraw funds.
