CAVE CITY, Ky – Community members gathered Tuesday evening in Cave City for a prayer vigil as concerns continue surrounding a proposed data center development in the area.

The event brought together residents who shared their thoughts about the potential impact the project could have on the community, both now and in the future.

Organizers say the vigil was an opportunity for residents to unite, pray and express their love for Cave City while discussing the issues surrounding the proposed development.

“I think this was so important because we need that. We need to come together. We need unity,” said Cave City Councilwoman Leticia Cline.

“We need kindness, grace and gentleness as we deal with issues that are bigger than anything we’ve faced before,” Cline added. “It’s important that we remain loving and caring toward one another, even when emotions are high.”

Residents at the vigil discussed concerns about how the proposed data center could affect the community and emphasized the importance of remaining engaged in the conversation moving forward.

Organizers say community members plan to continue voicing their opposition to the project ahead of a court hearing scheduled for July 20.
