Repairs to continue for at least 60 days at sinkhole site on Kiwanis Court

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The intersection of Kiwanis Court and Shawnee Way is closed to traffic due to a sinkhole repair, according to the City of Bowling Green.

According to a social media post by the city Tuesday afternoon, crews will be performing a full-depth repair.

Officials say no residents will be without access to their homes or driveways. A map can be viewed here.

According to the city, previous repairs have been made in this area. After further evaluation, the city says it was determined a more extensive repair is necessary to address an underlying issue.

Officials say this repair is expected to provide a longer term solution.

The expected duration of the repair and closure is 60 days, officials say. Detour routes will be posted on site.
