1 killed in fatal Henderson County crash involving tractor

HENDERSON, Ky. – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Henderson County.
According to the Kentucky State Police 16, troopers responded to the intersection of Green Street and Borax Drive in Henderson to reports of a fatal crash on Sunday afternoon. The Henderson City Police contacted KSP at approximately 2 pm.
KSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that 55-year-old Lester T. Jones, of Sturgis, was operating a tractor eastbound on Green Street when it collided with an SUV driven by 66-year-old James J. Jobe, of Corydon.
The SUV was traveling through the intersections of US 41-A / Borax Drive, according to KSP.
21-year-old Jason P. Jobe, of Corydon, was a passenger in James Jobe’s vehicle.
KSP says James Jobes was pronounced dead at the scene and Jason Jobe was transported to Saint Vincent Hospital in Evansville, where he is listed in stable condition.
Jones did not sustain injuries.
Accident reconstruction and investigation are ongoing.
