Bowling Green FedEx facility to close in August

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green FedEx facility is expected to close in August.

An associate with FedEx Media Relations confirmed Thursday the Bowling Green FedEx Ship Center at 2731 Griffin Drive will close in four months. The full statement includes the following:

“I can confirm that a Bowling Green FedEx facility will close in August. Because there are four months until closure and employees have several options, we are not able to provide final details on impacted employees. Please use the statement below in your coverage.”

“As part of our previously announced network transformation strategy, the FedEx facility on Griffin Road in Bowling Green will close in August. Team members at the facility were notified several months in advance, and certain employees will be offered other roles within the company. These decisions are never taken lightly and reflect our commitment to supporting affected employees – through job placement assistance, relocation aid, or severance, as applicable – while transforming our network and continuing to provide an outstanding experience for our customers.”
