GLASGOW, Ky. – Following the loss of a woman and her unborn child, a local family is picking up the pieces.

A shooting Monday in Glasgow left 22-year-old Ava Woodcock with life-threatening injuries, which authorities say led to her death and that of her unborn child.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, the shooting occurred off of Cleveland Avenue. Since then, 25-year-old Brandon Lee Bond has been arrested.

He faces charges of murder-domestic violence, first-degree fetal homicide and first-degree fleeing or evading police (on foot).

According to a GoFundMe, Woodcock is survived by her 1-year-old daughter, among multiple loved ones.

The fundraiser states the family is facing not only sorrow but also “significant financial burdens during this incredibly difficult time.”

Donations will assist to cover funeral expenses for both Woodcock and her unborn child, as well as immediate needs of the family, such as care and support for Woodcock’s young daughter, the GoFundMe states.
