Man wanted on bench warrant arrested in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Bowling Green man is facing multiple charges after being apprehended on a bench warrant.
According to a uniform citation, 28-year-old Amisi Ababelle of Bowling Green was arrested on a bench warrant on Sunday.
The warrant related to failing to appear regarding a case from May 2025, authorities say.
On May 7, 2025, police say Ababelle was driving a vehicle at a slow speed with hazard lights on. Authorities say the car appeared to have a flat tire, and they initiated a traffic stop.
Authorities say Ababelle was swerving while going five miles per hour and entered the oncoming lane.
Police say Ababelle smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages.
Following Standard Field Sobriety Testing, Ababelle was transported to the Warren County Regional Jail. Authorities say a breath test at the jail showed a result of .237.
Ababelle faces charges of first-degree wanton endangerment, first-degree criminal mischief, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, second offense, leaving the scene of an accident/failure to render aid or assistance, no operators license and failure to appear.
