Juvenile injured in reported lawnmower accident in Glasgow

GLASGOW, Ky. – A juvenile is injured following a reported lawnmower accident in Glasgow.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, officers responded Monday to the entrance of Gorin Park for an injury accident.

Authorities say a preliminary investigation revealed a male juvenile operating a riding lawnmower attempted to climb an earth embankment. Police say the mower then flipped back onto the juvenile, landing on top of him.

Officers say the male juvenile was transported by Barren/Metcalfe EMS to T.J. Samson Community Hospital before being flown to Norton Children’s Hospital.

The accident was investigated by Glasgow police with additional assistance by the Glasgow Fire Department.
