1 dead in fatal I-24 crash in Christian County

CHRISTIAN COUNTY – The Kentucky State Police is investigating a fatal crash in Christian County.

According to a release, KSP Post 2 troopers responded to a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 24 near the 86-mile marker on Saturday.

KSP’s preliminary investigation indicates that three vehicles traveling eastbound collided.

One fatality and multiple injuries were reported.

Two passengers were flown for serious physical injuries.

39-year-old Elizabeth Lubke, of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, was flown to a Tennessee hospital where she was later pronounced dead on Tuesday.

The second passenger is expected to recover, according to the release.

The investigation is ongoing.
