1 dead following crash in Wolfe County

CAMPTON, Ky. – One person is dead following a crash in Wolfe County on Saturday.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers were contacted Saturday at around 3:50 p.m. regarding a fatal two-vehicle collision near the 2400 block of KY 191.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation found a vehicle driven by 49-year-old Michael Brand of Campton crossed the center line, striking a 1998 Chevrolet S-10 pickup driven by 51-year-old Troy L. Perry of Campton.
Perry was pronounced dead on scene by the Wolfe County coroner.
According to troopers, Michael Brand was transported to University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington for his injuries. Eighteen-year-old Veranda Brand of Campton, a passenger with Michael Brand, was transported to Clark Regional Medical Center for her injuries.
KSP was assisted on scene by Wolfe County Sheriff’s Department, Wolfe County Fire and EMS and Wolfe County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing.
