Two Barren County students selected to state BETA positions, students honored

GLASGOW, Ky. – Barren County Schools students were recognized for their achievements in March.
According to a release, BCS students received honors at the Kentucky Beta State Convention in Lexington.
Barren County Middle School student Lily Key was elected Kentucky Junior Beta President.
“I decided to run for an office because I wanted to show others that we can all be leaders no matter who you are and that we can all lead with personality,” said Key. “I truly believe that when everyone works together great things happen.”
Barren County High School student Adeline Coleman was elected Kentucky Beta President.
“My campaign was centered around ‘Sweet Adeline.’ My slogan was ‘Life is Sweeter When You Vote Sweet Adeline,’” said Coleman. “I want to make Beta a place where every member feels seen, supported, and excited to be involved.”
